2. The Fiberglass Manifesto blog by Cameron Mortenson has superbly captured the ebb and flow of fiberglass fly rod manufacture for 16 years. #glassisnotdead

3. The winter season for the Prince of the Flats has arrived on the sand flats and channels of Hinchinbrook Island in Queensland, Australia. The Indo Pacific Permit (snub nose dart) is available in two fighting flavours: anak and blocchi.

4. Shout out to Sheri Tingey, founder and designer at Alpacka Rafts who together with her son Thor, revolutionised modern packrafting in the 1990’s.

5. Author David Coggins (The Optimist: A Case for the Fly Fishing Life, May 2022) makes The Weekly Five again. This time not for millinery, rather for his new title, The Believer: A Year in a Fly Fishing Life. Exploration angling should include a healthy journey of introspection.
